Atelier des Capucins / Médiathèque François Mitterrand

Library surfacing with Nd/Uni rubber flooring

Yesterday the workplace of naval builders, the Ateliers des Capucins neighbourhood today is a site dedicated to recreation, culture and tourism.
At the heart of the complex, opened in 2017, is the multimedia library dedicated to François Mitterrand, described as the “largest public indoor space in Europe”.

With a surface of 9700 sqm, 5035 of which are covered with our own Nd/Uni rubber flooring in 3 different colours (U106 – U14 – U26), the building features a media library, a 195-seats auditorium and spaces dedicated to exhibitions.

Architects Patrick Rubin and Annie Le Bot of Canal Architecture worked to preserve the history of the place, turning the great stone arches and the old furnace in friendly presences for a public of all ages.
