A business park of over 100,000 square metres is the new headquarters of Abengoa, a company dedicated to developing environmentally sustainable solutions in infrastructure, environment and energy fields. The design of the complex, following the collaboration between Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners and Vidal y Asociados Arquitectos, is an example of sustainable architecture and the concrete commitment in reducing emissions. Photovoltaic panels, hydrogen fuel cell, a trigeneration unit that provide electricity, heating and cooling: the aim is to reduce energy consumption by 50% and CO2 emissions by 30%. Artigo loose-lay flooring, with its simplified maintenance, reuse and recyclability characteristics, is one of many components that contributed to the achievement of the LEED Platinum certification, the international classification standard of green buildings.
