Located in central Oslo, LPO Architects is today one of the country’s leading architectural offices, with 79 employees and 59 partners.
Established in 1984, the firm handles complex projects in plan, architecture and transformation at all levels from opportunity studies, engineering and follow-up to finished buildings.
“As an engaged social actor, we strive to create good, comprehensive solutions for users and society as a whole, where sustainability and innovation are respected” says CEO and co-founder Lars Haukeland. In their own Oslo Headquarters, an accomplished match of post-industrial space and modern office design, LPO has chosen our Nd/Uni in the U54 color for a total surface of 1400 sqm.
The creative flair, the spark, reverberates from the meeting room to each individual workpost.

The historic, former industrial area of Porta Nuova in Milano has recently transformed into the city’s most futuristic district, redesigning and redefining both its skyline and character.
The Porta Nuova Business District finds its heart in the aptly-named Diamant Tower, a certified Leed Gold which is the new BNP Paribas office building.
“The Diamond” is 28 stories high and has a total surface of 30.000 sqm, with a capacity of 2100 workstations, most of which are operated as shared desks. The interior design project, curated jointly by Architect Paolo Mantero and NEXT Urban Solutions, reflects a contemporary approach to workspace design, with a wide variety of support, relax and free-interaction areas located on each floor.
From these “break rooms”, the occupants can enjoy a fabulous view on the surrounding city.
Particularly interesting is the an innovative BNL Subsidiary, a restaurant/cafe/third place: a hybrid space, ideal for a quick lunch break or informal meetings. It is notably here that we focused our contribution to the project.
As is customary in modern office spaces, our Nd/Uni Loose Lay flooring was used to guarantee comfort and practicality to all users.

“We have the best people in the best place to work, located in the most beautiful city in the world”. With these words Marco Reas, CFO of Mercedes-Benz Italia, introduced the brand-new Mercedes italian headquarters in via Giulio Vincenzo Bona in the Capital.
The building, designed by Rome-based firm MPPM, makes a strong point of sustainable architecture, getting 40% of its own energy consumption from renewable fonts and smart recovery.
Our contribution to this project was focused on the impressive cafeteria, with a surface of more than 700 sqm entirely covered with our Kayar flooring, designed by Sottsass Associati.
“The new headquarters” explains the CFO of Mercedes-Benz Italia, “embraces the value of teamwork, becoming one of the most innovative buildings not just in our region but in the whole country. We are setting new levels of standard, in terms of energy efficiency and also regarding the quality of the working place”.

SIAE, the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers, recently unveiled the new PR office in its headquarters in Rome. Located in the original 1930s building in the architectural landmark EUR district, the office was designed by Next Urban Solutions and developed by Genera spa and is characterized by a minimalist, fully functional take on a modern workspace setting.
The space is dynamic: along the corridors, meeting rooms and personal offices can be hidden behind folding panels. The no-frills, stark approach to surfaces relies on a fine balance of materials, from belached wood to glass to the dark grey ceilings.
A fundamental contribution comes from our Screed flooring: with Screed, the designers were able to convey a rugged, concrete-like aesthetics while retaining all the exclusive features of a rubber flooring, such as treading noise reduction in the first place.
The result is an elegant, finely-tuned workspace with a strong personality.
The idea was a river. Somehow reminiscent of the Vistula, running just outside the windows. The concept of “flow” is inherent to the Booking.com brand new offices in Warsaw, reminiscent of the idea of travel, of constantly moving.
The worldwide Booking.com team’s ability to provide customer service all around the clock means their offices are cozy, informal, free – places where their dedicated staff can work long hours with a sense of levity, enjoying breaks, chats, rest.
In the Warsaw offices, our Kayar rubber flooring conceptually provides “the banks of the river”, laying side by side with Shaw Contract Group’s blue carpets.
Thanks to the smart choices in color schemes and design items, the result is certainly inspiring. A modern office space with a feeling, “outside of generally adopted standards” as architect Bogdan Kulczyński says: “The integration of free working stations and relaxing spaces is meant to make all employees part of a big family”.
The historic, formerly industrial area of Porta Nuova in Milano has recently transformed into the city’s most futuristic district, redesigning and redefining both its skyline and character.
The Porta Nuova Business District finds its heart in the aptly-named Diamant Tower, a certified Leed Gold project which also defines the aesthetics of the surrounding buildings, commonly named Diamantini.
In the Diamantino currently hosting BNP Paribas offices, the amenities area is a prominent feature: designed by Park Associati, it is a 700 sqm space entirely covered by our Uni Loose Lay flooring in the U55 color.
The area, called Green Hub, has a recreational purpose: lounge area, kitchen, reading room, space for meetings and conventions and so on. Custom-made furnishings, libraries and planters on wheels define small small study areas and lounges. There are wired work desks and video walls for meetings. The modules on wheels can be moved quickly, and adapted to different space configurations, depending on the requirements.
Green and natural wood provide the only real colors in the space, with a neutral palette that comprises all furniture items as well as our floor as well. The perfect choice for an area meant for relaxing and informal meeting, in line with today’s workspace design.
Established in 1991, Lenne is a designer and manufacturer of kidswear based in Tallin.
Producing more than 350 models every year, the company is specialized in technical outwear designed for rough nordic climates.
The new company headquarters are housed in a former factory building, for which we provided more than 450 sqm of our Zeus flooring in the Z640 color.
The empty shell of the industrial facility is brimming with creativity thanks to a faceted, multi-level landscape “where the movement is fascinating” say the architects at Kamp studio.
Mostly noticeable, among designer armchairs scattered throughout the space, are the birch trees that form a sort of promenade across the different workspaces.

“Instead of reminiscing of past times, a modern architect should adopt a wider stance – investigating the needs of society now and in the future”. Ivar Tengbom
Founded in 1906 by Ivar, Tengbom is one of the oldest architectural firms in the industry and yet in 2016 was included in the four most innovative practices in the world.
The studio has 10 offices in Northern Europe and a total of 570 employees. In a very recent renovation of their Stockholm headquarters, the firm chose our own Loose Lay flooring, Nd/Uni LL in the U99 color, covering a total of 3250 sqm.
The workplace is exciting, for lack of a better word. With views over Stockholm bay and an attention to everyone’s thoughts. Quotes the firm: “We have 570 co-workers and equally as many thoughts as to what architecture should be”.
“It is important to us that the living environment we design is allowed to evoke emotions and debate. We look to contribute to this through our series of talks #TengbomTalks – a platform for public, local and international offices to examine the issues that we discuss across our offices”.

Hera is a multi-utility operating in Italy since 2002, combining public service companies into a “true public service industry”. The group is a leader in environmental, water and energy services, with over 8500 employees.
The new offices in the city of Ferrara, headquarters of the Innovation and Development group, were designed by MD Next City Lab who chose our own Nd/Uni U20 for the floors of what has been conceived as a hub for innovation, technology and the development of new models of energy distribution.
Shared knowledge is the keyword, and the design of the spaces conforms to this mindset with a central open space, where free-to-use workstations and a small kitchen encourage a more informal working method.
Transparency is another quality of the project, with meeting rooms and more private offices are defined, but not separated, by glass walls. In a dynamic space with a vocation for sustainability, natural rubber proves to be the perfect choice for the floorings, creating a very comfortable working experience both visually, thanks to it neutral tones, and functionally, guaranteeing the best noise reduction due to treading.
