Child hospital surfacing with rubber flooring Dharma
The new Examining rooms wing in the Children Hospital Regina Margherita in Turin was recently unveiled, and aside from the functionality and safety of the single rooms, the focus of the project lies in the design of the common areas and the corridors.
How to make children (and their families) waiting for exams and visits feel light-hearted and serene? Studio Miroglio+Lupica, continuing in their ongoing effort to «humanise» hospital wards, made a thorough use of color and illustration to literally create «fantasy worlds» on the walls of the wing.
After the Isola di Margherita ward, the Emergency Room and the Pediatric Onco-Hematology ward, this time our newest rubber flooring, Dharma, was introduced into the complex, in a multitude of colours (D18 – D20 -D05 – D06 – D02 – D17 – D19) for a total surface of 1100 sqm, the whole surface of the ward.
