School rubber surfacing with smooth flooring Granito

This project is an extension of an existing building and, in doing so, puts a great effort in giving value to the outdoor space.

The building defines the schoolyard and creates two sides with different character: a protected schoolyard and a more public access yard. The schoolyard faces south to get the most sun, creating a favourable microclimate.

The new body finds its main focus in the assembly hall, a natural center point for the whole school.

The multi-purpose hall with its large volume is pushed into the terrain to the west, to form a more balanced view.
