Artigo products significantly contribute to LEED credits, BREEAM certification, as well as compliance to many other criteria set by schemes achieving the international environmental sustainability of buildings. We also carried out a thorough study on the Analysis of the Life Cycle of our products through the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) that tells the complete story of the production process of a product, including information on its long term impact on the environment, the reduction of the ozone layer, water pollution and the emission of greenhouse gases. We continue to demonstrate our commitment to the environment with the introduction of Artigo’s innovative substrate with a high ecological content.

Cradle to Cradle Certified® is a globally recognised measure of safer, more sustainable products made for the circular economy. Aimed at having a positive impact on people and the planet, Cradle to Cradle® design principles apply to product assessed for environmental and social performance across five critical sustainability categories:

· Material Health – ensuring products are made using chemicals that are as safe as possible for humans and the environment

· Material Reutilization – aiming to eliminate the concept of waste and helping to ensure that products remain in perpetual cycles of use and reuse

· Renewable Energy and Carbon Management – ensuring products are manufactured using renewable energy

· Water Stewardship – ensuring water is recognised as a valuable resource, available to people and other organisms

· Social Fairness – ensuring business operations honour all people and natural systems affected by the manufacture process

Cradle to Cradle Certified®  is recognised as a preferred product certification by many organisations and sustainability standards, including BREEAM and LEED.

Certified products: Uni, Grain, Kayar, Granito, Zeus, LL, Screed, Lava, Natura, Bs, X-Elastic, Dharma.

M1 is the short version name of the Finnish voluntary emission classification of building materials. M1 is in fact the name of the lowest emission class of that system, and it requires VOC and formaldehyde testing in an emission chamber after 28 days.It includes an odour testing,  distinguishing the M1 label from any other low VOC specification around the Globe. Certified products: Uni, Kayar, Grain, Granito, Zeus, Screed, Natura, Lava, Dharma, Bs.

Indoor Air Comfort Gold

Certifications GECA, BLUE ANGEL, GREENGUARD, GREENGUARD GOLD give reassurances that the products designed for indoor environments meet the strict chemical emissions limits in indoor air, contributing to the creation of healthier buildings and better interiors.

In 2010 we decided to give our contribution to sustainable energy, entrusting to solar energy. We invested in the installation of 4,173 solar panels on our factory roof, able to generate about 1.04 GWh of energy per year. This means a reduction of about 600 ton of CO2 emissions in the air.
