The Rijeka City Library is the central public library of the city of Rijeka and the home library for the public and school libraries of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. It has around 25,000 active members and annually offers around 500 program activities, such as literary meetings, talks, workshops, lectures and the like. By moving into the new building, a renovated former tobacco factory, and thanks to its adequate surface area, functional design and high-quality space arrangement in combination with the Children’s House, the Rijeka City Library has further strengthened its position as a cultural public service for all citizens and a place to create and inspire new generations of Rijeka citizens of all ages. Therefore, the wording “new expanded edition” was chosen as the slogan of the new campaign related to the creation, because books are becoming more accessible, spaces for learning and work are larger, and the role in the field of creativity and community development is stronger.
