Chicago Modern Wing Lo – Chicago, USA

Museum rubber surfacing with smooth flooring Multifloor Nd Uni.

“Light is not enough for a museum to be perfect. There is also a need for calm, serenity and sensuality linked to the contemplation of art works”. Renzo Piano’s words sum up his design approach in the definition of the Modern Wing, the newest wing of the museum of the Art Institute of Chicago. The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Education Center overlooks the Millennium Park on the first floor of the new structure: an area dedicated to families, meetings and training. Large and bright classrooms designed to make the museum a more positive experience for young visitors. A perfect theme for Artigo, that produced the floor of the Center by creating a special colour specifically for the project and focusing on the quality of the surface treatment, able to convey a sense of naturalness.
