Alpine architecture surfacing with relief rubber flooring Zero.4
The Municipality of Gressoney Saint Jean and Politecnico of Turin dedicate to the Master Mollino an alpine architecture built on a model of his design for the X Triennale of Milan. The ambitious research project promoted by the Department of Architecture and Design at the Politecnico of Turin ended with the opening of the mountain retreat Carlo Mollino thanks to the City of Gressoney Saint Jean which supported the initiative and created the cultural building on the Weissmatten, slopes at an altitude of 2,050 meters, in the context of enhancing the Monterosa Ski Area. The architecture developed on the model of “Casa Capriata” for the X Triennale (1954), one of the ideal houses of Carlo Mollino left unfinished, was built in Valle d’Aosta after sixty years with the aim to highlight the value and relevance of the original project as a manifesto on technological innovation and prefabrication building.
