CRAI Universidad de Deusto · San Sebastián

University library surfacing with rubber flooring Nd/Uni

The new home of the Deusto University in San Sebastián, designed by Arriark Arkitektura, is a multi-functional building named after historian Manuel Larramendi, with a surface of 12.000 sqm.

The idea of a CRAI (Centro de Recursos para el Aprendizaje y la Investigación, Learning and Research Resource Center) is a new concept which university libraries are embracing, integrating traditional library and newspaper library services with the advantages of information and communication technologies and new interactive services.

The new spaces are designed to facilitate proactive processes to support the development, transmission and creation of knowledge by students, providing them with environments for reflection and creativity, with facilities that offer multiple possibilities: autonomous and group work, in person and online, multi-channel and multi-format.

In this sense, the CRAI offers study rooms with more than 200 individual seats, rooms that feature (as well as the meeting rooms) our own Nd/Uni rubber flooring in the U21 color, for a total surface of 23000 sqm.
